I'm using TeXnicCenter and in principle I am very satisfied with it. However, as I have many long footnotes in my text, I'm looking for an (free) editor that highlights not only \footnote{} but also the text of the footnotes, or - at best - hides all footnotes if I don't need them. Is it possible to do that with TeXnicCenter or with any other editor (except AUCTeX)?!
