MikTeX 2.9, Makeindex and TeXniccenter: Bug.

Post by GreginGre »

Hello,

there is a problem for creating the index file with the new MixTex 2.9 release, using Texniccenter (RC1 stable version or 2.0alpha 3).
The index will not be created and/or printed, unless you replace the "%bm" command by the "%tm" command. (I don't even know what exactly does this "%tm" command ^^, but it works)

I don't know why...The "%bm" command was working perfectly with the previous versions of MikTex.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. MakeIndex in MiKTeX 2.9 has a security mechanism that doesn't allow absolute file paths any more. TeXnicCenter (TXC) can't know this.

Best regards and welcome to the board
