General ⇒ "build output" (F7) inactive???

The Button "build output" is inactive!
The other one works fine.
The same version of MiKTeX and TeXnicCenter works on my other machine fine.
What could be a problem?

F7 only works when you opened a TXC-project and then are browsing in any part of it (which would be a file, say "settings.tex").
For the usual build of a single file, use CTRL+F7 (STRG+F7).
