I'm glad you got your BibTeX problem sorted, but isn't it rather annoying to have to use the DOS prompt all the time? I only suggested that as a troubleshooting step. I'd ask in the TeXnicCenter subforum about configuring it for BibTeX, or else try another editor like TeXworks or Texmaker. But that's just me.

Check the TXC settings for concerned profile(s) .
