I'm glad you got your BibTeX problem sorted, but isn't it rather annoying to have to use the DOS prompt all the time? I only suggested that as a troubleshooting step. I'd ask in the TeXnicCenter subforum about configuring it for BibTeX, or else try another editor like TeXworks or Texmaker. But that's just me.

Check the TXC settings for concerned profile(s) . It seems that there is just the ».tex« suffix added when calling BibTeX.

But if your measures solve the problem for you, then please mark the topic accordingly as written in Section 3 of the Board Rules (to be read before posting).
