TeX Live and MacTeX ⇒ Installing TeX Live from source
Installing TeX Live from source
I'm trying to install texlive from source :texlive-20100722-source,
but during the compilation I obtain:
kpsewhich: not found
"kpsewhich mktex.cnf" failed
And in texlive README it's written:
To make a usable TeX installation, you have to have (thousands of)
support files as well as the binaries that are built here.
Does it mean that i need to previously install binaries from a package to install texlive from source??
I hope I'll finally arrive!
thank you

Re: Installing TeX Live from source
I want to install it from source because i want to install texlive on a server whithout rooting, and i need to locally compile it and send the binaries on the server, tex is needed to display mathematical formulas on the wiki I want to create.

Re: Installing TeX Live from source
I make linux running on vmware locally under windows, and it's maybe why there is bug in the compilation, or maybe i have a problem to a part of my hard drive, but i hope no!
Thanks for informations.
