It should be fairly easy to convert PS or PDF to PNG, however. You can, e.g., use ghostscript (with either PS or PDF files):

gs -dBATCH -dSAFTER -dNOPASE -sDEVICE=png16m -r300 -o outfile.png scratch.pdf

You can also use ImageMagick's convert or pdftoppm, etc. If you want a gui, you can use the GIMP, etc.
