2 alpha: bad performance of tex file editor

Post by aragami »

Of course, many features have been added to the tex editor window (code completion, expanding/collapsing code) in texniccenter 2. While the comaratively simple tex file editor of texniccenter 1.0 has a good performance, in version 2 alpha 3 entering text leads to annoying waiting for the text to appear in the editor. I just tried it out with the same files for both versions.

I would appreciate if the performance of the tex file editor can be improved.

Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it. TeXnicCenter relies upon the Scintilla editing component which may cause slowdowns when editing large documents.
