Document Classes ⇒ \listoffigures prevented by a certain journal's class

Hello,

\listoffigures does not work because of something related to the journal's class I am working with. Does anyone have an idea what could possibly be the thing within that journal's class that disables the \listoffigures?

The \listoffigures command is defined in the standard document classes themselves, and is slightly different for different classes. It is probably not a matter of "disabling" the command, but rather just never defining it to begin with. Perhaps the journal's policy is that it doesn't use lists of figures. Is the class publicly available anywhere so we could look at it?

Thanks. I have compared this problematic class to proper ones, trying to identify the missing package, but everything looks in place. So how can I include this definition? which package could be missing? I see a similar question from 2008, and the class that they attached is similar to mine. I see that they did not eventually get an answer and I wonder what to do. Looks a tough one...
