Feature Suggestions ⇒ Whole line selection

In the 1.x version the ability of selecting the whole line by using the strip on the left was really handy. in 2.0alpha3 this ability has been apparently lost. Also the presence of the folding lines is quite annoying if you accidentally click on them. I should learn the habit of selecting lines starting from the right and not the usual upper left corner of the text block. Seems the settings related to folding does do nothing.

As a workaround you can enable the line numbers and use their margin for selection.
