Is it possible to edit files created by SWP including those formula?

Yes, you can edit files created by SWP. The SWP file should be saved in the SWP editor as a Portable LaTeX File. The resulting .tex file will have comments which can either be removed or ignored. I often use SWP to create complicated math expressions even if I am working with a file in, for example, MiKTeX.
Re-opening the .tex file in SWP is a bit tricker.
