problems on declare input text/maths

Post by colruyt »

Hi,

I would like to type the relation operater succeq with a prime on the top right side, $\succeq^{\prime}$, however when I tried to compile the file, lyx says:

$\succeq^{\prime}$
You need to provide a definition with \DeclareInputText
or \DeclareInputMath before using this key.

What should I do to solve this problem? thanks

I have no problem with $\succeq^{\prime}$ in Lyx (Lyx 1.6.4 on Ubuntu 9.10) or straight Latex. Watch out for character encoding problems though. I have seen that error for non-standard characters. Try retyping it, maybe in a TeX environment (Insert->Tex code).

Now that the problem is solved, please be so kind and mark the topic (not the last post) accordingly as clearly written in Section 3 of the Board Rules (to be read before posting). Please keep that in mind for the future so that further reminders will not be necessary.
