Hello from Ohio

Post by steve »

Hello All,

I'm a nuclear engineering PhD student who has used LaTeX for about a year now. Although the initial learning curve was somewhat steep, I prefer the stability of LaTeX to the fickle behavior of Microsoft Word.

I've also found Google Scholar with RefWorks and BibTeX to be an efficient way to generate bibliographies. Specifically, Google Scholar will export search results into RefWorks (online bibliographic management program), which can then be used to export bibliographic databases into BibTeX format. Or, if you prefer, the GS search results can be exported directly into BibTeX format. Just a tip, for any who are interested or unaware.

I've visited the community fairly often to help solve problems, but thought that the time has come to register and begin contributing solutions. It's good to be here.

Steve
