Sth else than \overline for average

Post by lanmmt »

Hi, I'm new here, and I would be grateful for quick answer. My question is:
is there anything i could use instead \overline for writing average - I can't find anything, and \overline doesn't look as good as I wish. I want to have a short line above sth that is an average, but instead of:

Code: Select all

\overline{a}
I guess I can't write it more clearly;)

Now that the problem is solved, please be so kind and mark the topic accordingly as written in the Board Rules. Please keep that in mind for the future so that further reminders will not be necessary.
