Hello,

there is a new package to draw molecule 2D: chemfig

Seems to be quite powerful. But the lack of a manual in English is almost a »No Go« for me. My French is limited to some classes in school so the manual looks like a puzzle. I think that a manual in English is a must for LaTeX Packages listed on CTAN.

I understand your reluctance about the manual in French and I know that the lack of manual in English is a disadvantage for this package.

Do not worry, a translation into english should be available in August. I did not dare do the translation myself... In fact, I do not speak English, or rather, as badly as you speak French. Fortunately, a canadian teacher offered to write the translation into english!

That's good to hear. Always nice to get first hand information directly from a package author. This package is worth a try anyway. And an English manual will make usage much easier. I'm looking forward to that. There is an upcoming small document where chemical structures will appear and this package will get its chance (in the meantime with the French manual).
