Geometry in LATEX

Post by dmt »

I am creating geometry homework sets and answer sheets with Latex and was wondering if anyone had anything suggestions for software that was good for creating geometry images that would be compatible. I don't need too many features ... I want to create angles and triangles with the angle measure shown for example.

I have been using C.a.R. which seemed to be what I needed, but I can't get the output to work with Latex for some reason. It is supposed to export to PNG for latex, creating a .bb and .ztx file. I am then supposed to include the .ztx file, but my latex then complains it can't find the bounding box.

Anyway, if anyone has any experience with this software with latex, or has some other software to recommend (free preferably) I would be much obliged.

Take a look at The LaTeXDraw Project or jPicEdt for LaTeX, both are open source and 100% compatible with LaTeX as they are based on PSTricks.
