Error mesage

Post by jtgeorge »

Dear Latex,

I'm a new user of latex and currently using it to produce pdf slides. The first slide page has the word 'arrows' appear on top left corner. The error message reads:
undefined control sequence
<recently read>usetikzlibrary
1.125 \usetikzlibrary
{arrows} etc

Please help!!!

George

Hi George,

your installed pfg version is probably too old, you may need to update it.
If you would have problems with finding out the version or updating, you can tell us, what operating system (version) and distribution you are using. You can find the pgf version printed in the logfile of your document.

I'm not the OP, but I use TexLive on Ubuntu 8.10 and I have PGF 2.00-1 installed, and I get the same error message. Which PGF version is required?

Since the OP didn't give a concrete example, the problem is difficult to diagnose. An upgrade to the current version (2.10) is advisable.
