Student ahoy!!!

Post by itsmereally »

Hi everyone. :)

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm a student at the University of Manchester, in England, about to start a degree in physics, called Physics with Astrophysics. It's a physics degree with a bigger emphasis on Astrophysics than a standard physics degree.

I'm learning how to use LaTeX to type up the notes from the foundation year I've just completed, and the knowledge will help me in the third and fourth years of my course, as we will be required to learn LaTeX.

So, erm, yeah. :D

Hi,

welcome to the board!
I'm sure LaTeX will be useful during your course.

Hello again. :)

Yeah, I'll have lab reports and essays to do, so I'll get them done in LaTeX.

That's the same way I started using LaTeX. But since astrophysics was out of my league, I only ended up with a degree in applied solid state physics with material sciences as minor field of study.

Best regards and welcome to the board
