LyX ⇒ viewing lyx file in pdf

Hi,
When I use the 'view pdf(pdflaTex) tool in Lyx ;I get a blank page and if I view the file using .dvi or .ps and save it as a .pdf file , I get errors that 'the file is not a supported file type' and still unable to open the pdf file. I can view other pdf files using Adobe Reader just not the ones created in lyx. Please Help!!

Please, create an example .lyx file and attach it to your next post (you may need to put it into a .zip archive before attaching).

I have no problems with compiling this document of yours (LyX 1.6.6.1). DVI, PS, PDF, all work fine. Does LyX report any errors when compiling? Did you try exporting the file as Plain LaTeX, then compiling it with pdflatex using another LaTeX editor or from Terminal directly, so that we may see if it's a LyX issue or your TeX installation problem? BTW, which operating system and which TeX installation do you use (TeXLive or MikTeX)?
