Spell checking in Kile
I'm just lazy to check the word spelling after writing. It's better to correct the wrong spelling at the moment of writing.

I'm using the default version directly grabbed from Ubuntu repository.
The version is 2.0.83.
I'll try to upgrade my Kile and have a try.
Thank you.

Have you found a way to do that?? I am running kile 2.0 on ubuntu 8.04 and I don't know how to upgrade to kile 2.1 version. If you have already done that and it works then please let me know how.

Automatic spelling checking.
Enable it as said by Thorsten.
Good luck.
And thanks to Thorsten by the way.

I'm afraid you'll have to compile it from source since your Ubuntu is over 2 years old. Note that you may have to update your kde4-related packages to do that, which may not be an easy task. Also, you may try searching for a package in a PPA, and try using a version for Karmic, but it is very likely that that package won't install (kile depends on many libraries, so it's not just a matter of updating one package).theodorekon wrote:
