New line in equation mode

Post by assafwe »

Hi,

In LyX - Is there a way to start a new line when writing an equation, w/o leaving the equation (Ctrl+m) mode? (I want it as one equation, which spreads over two consecutive lines).

Thanks,

Assaf

Hi Assaf,

an equation environment cannot be spread over two lines.
Use a multi-line environment of amsmath instead, like multline or align.
