Customized Enumeration

Post by Makaremi »

Hi,
I am trying to make a customized list in my paper. It would go as
Definition 1: Content
Definition 2: Content

Some other stuff

Definition 3: Content
.
.
.
I want the enumeration to happen automatically. Also, as it is shown (but might not be clear) I want to have it discontinued. I might need to add extra lines and explanation between different definitions.
I looked at some of the solutions, but they did not help.
I appreciate it if you could show a way to do it.
Regards
ImAn

There are several solutions available here in the forum archive which use the enumitem package. And I'm sure they work.

Best regards and welcome to the board

Something like amsthm or ntheorem might be even more suitable for this particular purpose.

The suggestions of frabjous make me ask you what »Content« stands for.
