General ⇒ Localization of LaTeX documents

I need to translate a few documents written with latex. However the typical CAT tools normally can not deal the source files.

Is there any good, preferably free tools that I can choose? Or is it possible to extract text out from the source code? (detex works, but it has some problem with customized commands.)
