Where is Charter bch font located?

Post by cassc »

I used Chater type 1 font in my latex document. Is it possible to copy files for this font to windows font directory, so I can use this font type in my word documents?

Thanks!

I haven't used Windows in a while, so I don't remember how easy it is to use Type 1 fonts in something like Word, but it's probably easier to use a TrueType or OpenType version instead. If I recall correctly, Charis SIL is based on Bitstream Charter, except expanded to include more international characters, and other Unicode blocks. So in that sense it would be better than Bitstream Charter anyway.

It's a free font, with a free licence. You can download it here.
