MiKTeX and proTeXt ⇒ Problem with Preview

I'm new to the forum and a beginner with MikTex. I recently downloaded and installed MikTex. I have successfully produced a copy of documents and printed them. Then suddenly I can't preview my documents again. Each time I build a document and want to preview it, I get the message "Can't execute command". What can be the problem? Can someone help me out. I have an urgent document I need to typeset. A million thanks in advance.
