LyX ⇒ KOMA Script | Reversed Page Margins

Using LyX with Koma book, set to double sided for a book. My odd pages are on the left & my even pages are on the right--that's backwards. This is putting the binding margins on the outside, page numbers in the middle... Any idea what's going on here?

Certainly not. Read the KOMA Script manual regarding the construction of the type area for a double-sided document.

Provide your .lyx file with some dummy text (make sure you don't change any settings and Preamble content).

I think perhaps you're misinterpreting what you're seeing. LaTeX classes with two-side options don't typically put in extra spacing for binding. Instead, extra space is added to the right side of a right page, and the left side of the page, since that's where marginal comments are put (e.g., those created with \marginpar -- so the extra space is not binding space, but the reverse of that).

If you want extra binding space, you'll have to add it in. I think there have been some old topics about that if you search the forums.
