Not a noob

Post by dataguy »

I have been using LaTeX/TeX since 1983 or so. I am the author of newlfm, a class for letters (a form of written communication which resembles email but which was placed on paper), faxes (another paper form of communication also resembling email) and memos. Of course, newlfm is useless now, but interesting in some ways.

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

This is excellent. I'm very glad to see you posting here.

I actually still use newlfm quite often! Why do you say it's useless? Because no one sends letters? That's not quite true. And sometimes I need to send PDFs that have letterhead, and newlfm is perfect for this.

Very nice to have another advanced user and package author here. I'm quite sure the forum will benefit somehow from your knowledge.

Best regards and welcome to the board

1983! I think I just started walking then! :D

I haven't used it but very happy to see another developer in this ever growing forum. Thank you very much for contribution to LaTeX.

Regards,

Ash
