I recommend lshort (AKA "The (Not So) Short Introduction to LaTeX") and the Wikibook personally.

Be prepared for a steep learning curve. It will require reading a lot of manuals and other documents. But the final result will be worth the effort.

My company needs to be able to have a single set of documentation from which we can make PDFs and HTML, hence my interest in LaTeX ^_^ .
