I have written my document in TeXnic Center, I then view my file in Yap. I want to be able to e-mail the file with the diagrams in it. So I want to save the file in Yap and then send this to my colleague.
When I click file, 'save as' is there but not an option to click on - meaning its in that faded font, like 'print selection' is if you click file in your web browser. I fell ive explained this badly but anyway how do i get it to save!
Thanks for any comments or advice.
Jonathan

Giving the DVI alone to your friend wouldn't help. It would need also the external graphics files because the DVI file is concatenated to them. Furthermore there will be only an option to save a file in case it has been modified. Compile your document to PS or PDF and submit it in this format.

Ok thanks for you help again Thorsten. However I am unsure how I compile my file in ps or pdf from texnic center?
I would be more than happy to provide feedback, all of the help I have received from this forum has been very useful. Again though I can not see where the button is to provide feedback?

Jonathan

Use one of the profiles »LaTeX => PS« or »LaTeX => PS => PDF« to get the desired output format. The latter one needs Ghostscript installed.jonnyneill14 wrote:Ok thanks for you help again Thorsten. However I am unsure how I compile my file in ps or pdf from texnic center? [...]
Just post a reply as you did here and report if a solution is working for you. That's it. A short expression of gratitude to the helpers is very welcome. Of course this concerns only your own requests I linked in my previous reply.jonnyneill14 wrote:[...] I would be more than happy to provide feedback, all of the help I have received from this forum has been very useful.
