Hi guys!

My name is Dennis and I am currently working on my PhD thesis in Neuroinformatics. I'd describe myself as a novice LaTeX user, but with enough knowledge to make my boss believe I could handle the difficult Latex-jobs...
(wrote my master's thesis and some papers in TeX)
So now I am looking for help to solve these difficult jobs. Furthermore, I'd love to find out more about package programming. (How did the programmers of i.e. KOMA actually learn how to program LaTeX in this way? Never found any appropriate tutorials!)

Anyways, that's all about me for the moment (now I got to ask that burning question because of which I registered )

You can start with »LaTeX2e for class and package writers«. I guess that class and packages authors often build their work on source2e, the documentation of the LaTeX sources. Going down to the TeX level, you can take a look at »TeX by Topic« or »TeX for the Impatient«. And of course there's also »The TeXbook«, but you are not allowed to typeset the source.
