I like Texnic center a lot.
However, I have a problem with prosper slides and found two solutions:
1.) A special batch file available from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TeXnicCen ... ermake.zip
Unfortunately, this file is available for members only and new members are not accepted. Could somebody upload this file at another place?
2.) It was suggested to use the output profile "Latex -> PS -> PDF". Unfortunately, this profile is not available at my installation (version 1 Beta 7.01). The same problem was discussed at this forum here. How could I create this profile on my own?

Regarding your second question,
I think you need first to install ghostscript in your machine.
There is an wizard in Texniccenter:
go to Build menu
Click in Define Output Profiles
On the bottom left corner, there is a button Wizard.
I think the wizard should find the variables automatically.
