I'm also new to LaTeX and this forum...surprise! ^^

So, the reason I'm here is my recent idea 'why not writing all your papers in LaTeX so you can spare yourself alot of trouble with WYSIWYG Editors'.

Well, until now it works all out. I like it. The freedom to get the output you wanted! (most of the time)

Be aware of the fact that LaTeX is not a universal remedy. Here and there you can also run into trouble. But it is the right tool for many tasks.
