Can't get back from DVI to TeXnicCenter 1

Post by dewgong »

Hi Everyone.
On XP I remember that I could get back from viewing a DVI-file with double left-click of a mouse to the original tex file exactly to the place where the code of that line was. Actually, that was why I started to use TechnicCenter, since I did not manage to do this in WinEdt (pressing e "edit tex source" would bring me up the file in a notepad.
Now I am using windows seven and MikTeX 2.8 with stable Technic Center 1 version and I don't know why it is not working. It does the same thing as WinEdt did :(
Please help. Or is it just because of win7?

Make sure that TeXnicCenter (TXC) is set as editor in the Yap options. Yap usually recognizes TXC but doesn't do this setting automatically.

Best regards and welcome to the board
