TexNicCenter Setup : windows behavior

Post by ptoche »

Hi there,

New machine, new install, new problems :?

1. how can I get windows (vista) to open TexNicCenter documents within the same window (the same process), as opposed to opening multiple windows.

2. how can I get TexNicCenter to open with the document window maximized within the TexNicCenter window (my system remembers the latter, but not the former)

many thanks,

Patrick

I think I've had a similar problem some time ago.

Try reinstalling TeXnicCenter with administrator privileges (execute as administrator), and see if it is any better.

I have the exact same problem. I tried to reinstall as suggested, but there's no difference.

Could be a systematic problem due to the fact that TeXnicCenter is not yet really developed for Windows Vista. The upcoming Version 2.0 may solve that problem.

I'm now using TeXnicCenter 1.0 in Windows 7 and still having this problem. Is there nowhere I can change some settings for this? Some time back I heard about someone who had installed TeXnicCenter on Vista and didn't have this problem.. but maybe that was another version, could that fix the problem?
