Blue Screen = Empty tex file

Post by gsc »

Hi Guys,

I'm running Miktex teXworks on windows 7.

While working on a document my system blue screened, upon rebooting i found that when i open the .tex file it is empty, and the compiled .pdf is corrupt. They both still have sizes, 18kb (tex) and 1mb (pdf).

I know it's a long shot but i wondered if anyone had any ideas of how i might recover these files?

Gary.

A blue screen is an indication of a serious driver or kernel problem. You must fix this problem first before trying to continue.
