I am using ucthesis.cls to format...um...my PhD thesis at the University of California.
The University's requirements about formatting etc. are rather strict, and among them is the requirement that the page number be at least 3/4" from the edge of the page. When I print in "final" mode, the page number prints out centered only about 1/2" from the bottom edge of the page. How can I bump that up 1/4" to meet the requirement? I feel like others must have come across this before (or maybe this requirement is not strictly enforced, but the deadline approaches and I don't want to print the whole thing out on archival paper only to be turned away).
I messed with a parameter I found called bmargin in the class file, but that feels kludgey and imprecise. I'm sure there is a more elegant solution. I'm fairly new to latex so there has been a lot of trial and error trying to figure things out.
I'm attaching my main tex file. Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Page numbers centered 3/4" from bottom in ucthesis.cls?
The ucthesis class seems to set up the page dimensions internally. Just try geometry to customize them and make them fit your needs.
