Graphics, Figures & Tables ⇒ Overlay figures in same positions on Beamer Slides

Hello: I have 4 figures that I would like on one slide. However, due to its detail, I would like show each figure at the largest size that may be fitted on a Beamer class slide. Moreover, it makes sense to illustrate a sequence of these figures one on top of the other. So as one disappears or fades, the next figure appears in the same position as the last one. Does anyone know how to do this in the beamer class?

Have you ever thought about feeding a search engine with »beamerexample1.tex«? I have been successful with this method.
