Always do pdflatex of main document, not of subdocument

Post by thdrummer »

Hello everybody,

can you please help me with the following issue:
My Thesis is divided into several parts, e.g. layout and content is split up into two files. When I edit my content-Lyx-document an press the "pdflatex"-button, I want my main document to be compiled, not the subdocument which is edited at the moment.

Can you please tell me if and how this can be done?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Thanks,
thdrummer

Simply add a comment marker in front of the parts you don't want to compile, in your main source document.

Cheers
