Text Formatting ⇒ compressing space between words

hello friends,

I am facing problem formatting the text "which is in table of contents". But it has nothing to do with contents area, so i am putting up question here.

I have a long chapter name which breaks into two lines, so need to reduce the space between the words. so that it will appear in single line
