compressing space between words

Post by dmuthu_cse »

hello friends,

I am facing problem formatting the text "which is in table of contents". But it has nothing to do with contents area, so i am putting up question here.

I have a long chapter name which breaks into two lines, so need to reduce the space between the words. so that it will appear in single line

Code: Select all

\noindent {\font\t=phvb scaled 1200 \t 9. \ Steady, Inviscid, Incompressible Flows and Torsion Analysis}\hspace{65pt}{\font\t=phvb scaled 1200 \t \bf 230}
Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Muthu
