Graphics, Figures & Tables ⇒ EPS files of our figures?

Hello:

I wrote my article in TexNic center. I embedded the directory name of where my figures (.jpeg, .pdf) are stored in the LaTex file. But now, I am directed to upload the figures separately for journal subm. What does this mean to 'upload EPS files' for our figures? The exact direction provided was:

No; please upload your figures separately to your manuscript. When our system converts your paper to PDF for the review process it will include your figures at end of the PDF file.

Note: If you used LaTeX to prepare your manuscript, your separately uploaded EPS files can be embedded in the manuscript itself, using the appropriate commands.

How do we do this?

They are expecting people to use EPS graphics and the DVI route to make PDFs with LaTeX. I'd upload the image files you have, if you can. I'd also e-mail the editorial office to check that this is going to work!

Thanks. In the LaTex manuscript, should we not specify the directory path to the image then after the

\includegraphics ....

We should still leave in all our syntax for the table name and label in the manuscript, correct? And they just specify the directory path themselves?

You'll have to ask the editorial office. I'd imagine that the office will alter this sort of thing.
