Problems with (embedded subset) Times-Roman + Table of Conte
I am trying to help a colleague edit her dissertation and I/we have stumbled upon these problems:
1) The document must be created using pdfLatex. So, when the pdf is produced and when I open it and click on Properties -> Fonts, than I see that all the fonts have (embedded subset) next to them except of Times-Roman. Here's the whole information:
Times Roman
Type: Type 1
Encoding: Custom
Actual Font: TimesNewRomanPSMT
Actual Font Type: TrueType
Can you tell me how to make Times Roman embedded, because I have no idea what the commands and options for doing that are?
2) The second problem is about the table of contents. It is a one page and a half long. I am using the {report} document class, however when I add the option [twoside] huge spaces appear between the liens of the ToC ONLY on the second page. So, here's what I write:
\documentclass[page=a4] - Everything is fine
\documentclass[pagea4,twoside] - First page of ToC looks normal, on the second page huge spaces appear between the lines.
How can I eliminate these spaces?
I would gladly upload the TeX file, however the problem is, that it's one main file where several sub files are included and I think that in most of them there are some options which are needed in order for the document to be compiled so that I would also need to upload all of them. However, if you think it's necessary, I could do this.
Thank you a lot
Alexander

Problems with (embedded subset) Times-Roman + Table of Conte
- Please work out a minimal working example (MWE) that shows exactly the same behaviour. To generate longer text passages you can use the blindtext package.
- I don't know the option page=a4 for the documentclass. I suggest to replace this by a4paper. In the case that doesn't help, an MWE would be helpful.
