Hi all,
I am a beginner in the world of Lyx/Latex...
After wasting hours trying to solve this problem, I ask here.
To insert a picture in a document:
1- I insert a floating object (figure)
2- then I insert the figure inside this object.
The problem. If I scale or center the picture, it remains shifted on the right. I can solve this problem only by scaling it to 30%, but so the picture is almost invisible!
Here the screening of the problem:
in lyx:
in pdf:
How can I center the pictures, mantaining them at an acceptable size?
Thanks

Re: Pictures in lyx
One way to center the images is writing \centering like a TeX code (Ctrl+L) before the image,
I mean
\centering [Here is the image]
I mean
\centering [Here is the image]

Thanks for the reply.
I've just tryed it but it doesn't work... it remains shifted...

I think I'll return to word

Re: Pictures in lyx
It's strange
Have you tried the option "cut" on the image? Maybe you could cut some part of the left
Or maybe could be the margins, on the paragraph option

Re: Pictures in lyx
Yes.. I've also tried the cut... but no way..
However I think it's a problem with margins.
I've changed them and it seems to work. But I have to use very little margins. It's not like word.. I mean: in word when you set the margin and the picture is too big, then it's centered and it goes out the margins in equal way left and right.
But Lyx, if the picture is bigger than margins, shift it to the right...
Strange way to work...
(sorry for my english)
