basic fontsize command question

Post by michaelburns »

I must be dim. I cannot find even the basic information about the \fontsize{}{} command. All I want to know is what the command does with the two arguments (in layman's terms). Especially, why does the command need two arguments instead of just one? Please keep in mind that fonts are generally confusing to me.

Just learn more about low-level font commands. It couldn't be explained any better than on the site behind the link.
