LyX ⇒ Problems with subfloats

Hello,

I googled like crazy and can't believe I dind't find a solution for the following problem :
I just changed from 'ordinary' Latex to LyX and generally like it. Now I tried to insert a Subfloat (Figure) into a LyX-document. Thus I first do insert->floating object->figure (more or less, I'm using the German version), then place the cursor inside the floating box and then do insert->floating object->figure again. Inside the Subfloat-Box I place the figure. The following errors occur immediately:

Argument of \sf@@@subloat has an extra }.
Paragraph ended before \sf@@@subfloat was complete

I'm using Lyx 1.6.4 under Windows Vista Business (SP2). The embedded objects manual is very short on Subfloats and only gives an example for tables. Not really helpfull. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me?

Is there a [ or ] within the subfigures caption? If yes try surrounding the caption with {}.

I run into the same problem, installing the 'subfloat' and 'subfig' LaTeX packages via MiKTeX solved this issue.

I don't see where the subfloat package could help in this case since it provides stuff that is similar to the \ContinuedFloat command from the caption package.

Hi, i'm having the same problem
I use Lyx 1.6.4 under Windows Vista

When i put a subfloat environment, i get a lot of errors like
You can't use \spacefactor on vertical mode

is there some solution to this problem?

The problem was solved updating to Lyx 1.65
I suppose that updating MikteX to 2.8 version also works

I am facing the same issue in LyX 1.6.5 with a fully updated MikTex!
Any solutions?
