center table wider than textwidth by indenting into margin

Post by jimbo_durham »

Hi, i have a table which is wider that the textwidth of the page, but narrower than the printable size of the page. I would like to center it on the page, however latex alignes it with the left hand margin, and stickes it out a long way into the right margin.

is there a way of floating the table so it is centerd on the page, or even changing the margins for a part of the page around the table?

Thanks for your help

James

Typographically, your solution could be not the best one. You may consider the rotation of your table using, for example, the rotating package. If you definitively want to apply your solution, then a possible solution has been given in another forum.
