Hello,
I am a beginner with latex and at present I am using Lyx with Texlive and Xetex (otf and ttf fonts required, together with tons of East Asian characters and diacritics).
I am writing using the memoir class, which has an excellent documentation but it is a bit too long for me at this stage (600 and more pages!!).
I was wondering if there was some manual or web-page that would show visually the results of the various styles (I am aware that the manual does have many but sometimes I still have difficulties in figuring out what's best).
For example with headstyle{binghurst} you get this (image of an example of the style), with headstyle{memmam} you get this and so on the same with pagesyles and so on.
There are so many options and it would be nice to get an idea of how the text will look so that one can compare them easily.
Thank you

Memoir class and styles HELP in choosing
You don't have to read whole manual, just search for terms or sections you're interested in, or use index. BTW, there is some kind of summary regarding chapter styles here.
