Installing Beamer

Post by nchw »

I am trying to install Beamer by downloading from files from CTAN but eventually I am unable to find an xcolor file. Has anyone any advice. I am running MiKTex 1 Beta 5.05 (1999-2001).

I would suggest you to install MiKTeX 2.6.

I extremely recommend the change to MiKTeX 2.6, not only because it will be very easy to install packages with its own package manager.
