Imported Reference Are Sometimes in CAPS

Post by Eenzc »

Problem #1:

I'm using JabRef (Java) to organise my reference database and I routinely import reference into it from ISI world of science.

These files are sometimes imported with various parts capitialised such as the full author names and or article title and journal name.

I would like a way of making sure the cited reference are not capitalised in my list of reference.

Problem #2:

Some of my imported reference come in as abbreviated forms, some as full titles. Therefore I would like to abbreviate all my journal names to the approved standard abbreviations without doing it manually.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Specifically my problem is:

Some Authors and Journal Names have been imported into my .bib library as capitals and when they are used in my document they have not been converted into sentence case.

Is there a way to force this in my BibStyle.BST file?

Thanks.
