My Resume is Slightly Off Center

Post by sckasx »

Hi All,

I am using terminal in osx and running pdflatex to convert my *.tex files. I have a weird problem where my resume is being created slightly off center. It is either pdflatex or the resume class definition that I am using (maybe too old?).

To try it yourself, you can get the resume and resume class (res.cls) files here (http://www.rpi.edu/dept/arc/training/latex/resumes/). Whenever I pdflatex any of these tex files, they are very slightly off center.

Does any one have a clue what is going on? Thanks in advance.

Cheers

I'm guessing you're inadvertantly using A4 (instead of letter-sized) paper. Depending on your TeX distribution, you may be able to type 'texconfig' to reconfigure it so the default paper size is letter instead of A4.

I have a similar problem, but when a tried "texconfig", I´ve recieved the mesage "paper `A4size' not found in file /etc/texmf/dvips/config/config.ps'". What shall I do now?
