Growth Theory (Economics) Figure

I'm using SWP 5.5, at the moment I'm trying draw some figures that are editable (for future uses). I'd be grateful if you guys can help in this regard, be it (La)TeX base or something GUI (like SWP, preferable freeware):

I tried drawing it using MATLAB, Mathematica too; but no luck, so far. If you can help with those for graphs, that will help me too.

At first, please attach image files to your posts by uploading them to the forum server. External links could be lost with the time.

Those kinds of graphs can easily be drawn with pgf/tikZ or pstricks. But there is much to learn about handling these packages. Their manuals are very comprehensive.
