LyX ⇒ Refreshing PDF / DVI View does not work

Hello,

I am on Mac OS 10.4.11 and LyX 1.6.2 and I have the problem to be able to refresh an compiled PDF or DVI. The opended document will stay unaltered, after editing my LyX-Text and the pressing refresh PDF or DVI. Isn´t there any solution? This would be great!

It is a little bit annoying, to close, reopen the dvi and relocate the text-phrase, you want to have a look at.

Hi there,

From what I know, Mac, just like Linux, does not refresh windows automatically or every certain amount of time. Therefore, if you recompile a tex source code with Mac, you will have to refresh the window yourself.

I have not worked with a Mac for more than five years, but from what I remember, you can refresh windows with the apple command and r.

Reconfigure your viewer to make it observe the opened file and reload it in case of modifications.

Thank you, for your help.

But I did not find any settings in my Viewer "TexShop" on OS X, where I can force the viewer to update, after the .pdf-File has been changed.

Or did I miss a config-section?

Please help. It is very annoying, to reopen and scroll a lot of pages to find the last editing place for reviewing it
